Austin Dutremble #15

A three year varsity starter, Austin is a player who leads by example on and off the court.  He is a major scoring threat for the  Tigers as one of Biddeford’s best outside shooters.  Austin has also been selected at Biddeford’s defensive player of the year the past two years.  The team will need Austin’s outside shot, rebounding, and leadership this year.

13-14 Recap

Austin Dutremble accomplished something that may never happen again in BHS basketball history, winning defensive player of the year as a freshmen.  Austin was always assigned the toughest defensive task, guarding the best players in the SMAA.  Austin’s 11 offensive charges taken probably led the league.  As a 5’7” freshmen, Austin was also able to grab 7 rebounds in four different games.  On offense, Austin played #4 spot and was responsible for passing the ball in versus full court pressure.  Austin also made honors in Q1 and Q2 and was a leader by example on the team.  Austin’s high character, appreciative attitude, and work ethic are prime examples of a Biddeford basketball player.  While Austin’s game is not flashy, he will be making the key plays for Biddeford victories for years to come.
